i'm still alive but i'm barely breathing.

3 times in a week. this must be a new record. well i actually wanted to blog yesterday since yesterday was such a happening day. but didn't get down to it so i shall blog today instead.

well yesterday. it was exactly happening in that sense. i had hansum guy's practical at 9am. i had to go to the library to return my overnight loan before that. so i set my alarm at 845am. i have no idea why. i was supposed to set it at 745. but i didn't realise. until i woke up. it was kind of strange. the moment i woke up, i was like oh shit, i set the alarm at the wrong time. like it just hit me ONLY WHEN I WOKE UP LATE. which was completely stupid. because i actually woke up at like 5-ish cause i needed to pee. and yet i didn't realise my stupidity at the time. prolly cause i was all groggy and all i did was stumble to the toilet and back. but what the hell i swear! so i woke up and i started my mad rush of getting to lab on time. the worst part was that lab was at bouverie street. which is like the OTHER END of the school for me. and not just the other end, ie north. it was like north-east. which was really annoying. 2 streets away, you could say. which isn't that far actually. but it is when you're going to be late for class. i seriously considered getting an mc for the lesson but realised there was no other times i could attend. so i brush my teeth, SUPER FAST. and i even managed to put on my contacts. and concealor. HAHA. must maintain image that little bit. thank goodness it was a cool/cold day so i just put on a pullover and jeans and practically ran out of the house. i never run. unnecessarily. like for buses or anything. i just think it's kind of unglam. i know, i sound snobbish. i don't care. but because i never run, i have honed my speed-walking skills. so i speed-walked/sped-walk (?) to bouverie street.

and guess what? i wasn't even the latest for lab. i am AWESOME, say it. barney stinson style. yessah.

but anyhoos, lab was pretty slack. a map reading lab. which was kind of boring actually. but it finished early so i went home and bathed and did everything i was supposed to do before going for lab. oh and i returned the book late so i incurred a 5bucks fine. i have 10bucks to go before my borrowing privileges are suspended. tsk.

today, i managed to set my alarm at the right time. whee. got my french test back. did better than expected i guess. thank goodness i didn't fail or anything. listening comprehension test next week. how annoying is that. i'm not even halfway through my bloody essay! ARGH ARGH ARGH! it's like total brain block right now. i have the content and everything. i know what i want to say, sort of. but i just can't seem to piece the words together! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

went to vic market yesterday cause my fridge was devoid of veges. didn't realise the market closes at 2 on a tuesday. i reached the place at like 140pm. oops. quickly rushed through the market and bought what i needed. went to the asian grocer thinking of getting some stuff but decided i'll just get them another day. i found something nice though.

Photobucketsay hello to the source of much childhood joy. i thought they stopped producing it cause of melamine. or something. hmm. ohwell.

today was my aussie wildlife excursion to the zoo! i love zoos. they're one of my favourite places of anywhere i go. i try to make it a point to visit the zoo of every new country/state/city i visit. sounds a bit boring i know, after all it's kind of the same old animals everywhere. but i don't know. i just like zoos. although i have to agree with the view that it's unnatural to keep the animals in such enclosures and that it's kind of cruel. but i guess it's one of those arguments that can never be resolved cause zoos are good for conservation, awareness and research. and bla. yes. vicious cycle.

but anyway! the zoo. visited it 2 years back as a tourist and i must say it has changed slightly. the opened up the seal enclosure. it's really quite nice i feel. and a new enclosure for the fairy penguins too. i remember seeing only one the last time and now there's a whole bunch of them. and they're still the cutest things ever. i swear. the seals were quite cool. although after you've seen the leopard seals at taronga zoo, all other seals just kind of pale in comparison. leopard seals are the coolest. though very freaky looking. but of course i still love seals, and sealions, in general. didn't get to see the baby elephant. maybe another time then. mainly looked at the reptile house and the aviary. since it was more of looking at native australian fauna. but it was pretty interesting i must say.

Photobucket
here's a baby freshwater crocodile. if i remember correctly. the eyes are damn freaky please. it's staring right at you. freaky freaky!

well that's about it for today la. i really should stop blogging and instead go write my essay. argh. on the bright side, there is no lecture tomorrow cause my lecturer is sick. whoopee. which now means i have 4 free days. i shall be a total nerd and go camp out at my school library and get down to writing the stupid essay. yes i shall.
